Bharat Mata Temple When it comes to the temple, images of Gods and Goddesses start forming in the mind, they are remembered. On the other hand, there is such a unique Bharat Mata temple in Kashi, where people bow their heads with full reverence to the map of Bharat Mata-Akhand Bharat, not the idol of the deity.
Foundation stone laid 94 years ago
The foundation stone of the temple was laid by Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhagwan Das on April 2, 1926. After this, the search for craftsmen to build the temple started. Ultimately Durga Prasad of Kashi agreed to build the temple.
Construction in eight years, launch from Bapu
The wonderful Akhand Bharat Mata Mandir was built in eight years. Mahatma Gandhi inaugurated it on 25 October 1936 (Vijayadashami). There is a map of unbroken India in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple made of white marble.
