Timahi Shradh

Tithi Shraddha is a Hindu ritual that is performed to pay homage to departed ancestors or forefathers on the specific lunar Tithi (date) of their death. The word 'Shraddha' means faith, devotion or respect, and it is believed that performing this ritual with devotion and sincerity can help the departed soul attain peace and liberation.

During Tithi Shraddha, the family members offer food and water to the departed soul while chanting Vedic mantras and performing specific rituals. The food offered during the ceremony is usually vegetarian and prepared with special care and attention to detail. The ritual is performed by the male descendants of the deceased person, such as sons, grandsons, or great-grandsons, as per the Hindu scriptures.

The Tithi Shraddha ceremony is usually performed annually on the specific Tithi of the deceased person's death anniversary. It is believed that performing this ritual with devotion and sincerity can help the soul of the departed person to attain peace and blessings from the deities.
